The Next Three Days

Watched The Next Three Days few days ago with my darlings Shan Mei and Wann Wei at East Coast Mall.
The movie directed by Paul Haggis, Oscar winning screenwriter and director.
Starring by Russell Crowe and Elizabeth Banks.

Laura (Elizabeth Banks), wife of John (Russell Crowe) is arrested that she did not commit. After 3 years of appeal, and his final appeal has been rejected. John made a horrible decision, which is to break his wife out of prison, take their son and move to a remote country. Try to imagine a soft-spoken lecturer turn into bad and cruel man.

He do researches online and he found a repeat escapee who provides some useful tips to John. Then, he starts to plan everything. Starts from observing the prison, then make fake passport, earn tonnes of money etc. He learnt everything he need to know by himself. However, when the all plans are set, he got to know that he left only three days to bust out Lara from the prison as she will be transferred to another prison.

The last half an hour talks about how he save his wife and he is just like a professional. How can a English teacher in college can so pro for the first time to break the jail? It does not make sense, right? Somehow, this movie is nice because John can be so determined just to save the one he loved. Some scenes can be predictable, but there're some heart thumbing action scenes that can make me hold my chair tightly. For those who enjoy watching action/suspenseful movie, you'll like it. This movie is more than an action movie;it is about hope, never give up and love.
